Brimfall Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Brimfall ("the game") is a real-time strategy game published by Martin Kral ("I", "me"). This policy explains what data the game handles. The short version: I do not collect, store or sell your personal data, and the game has no accounts, ads, analytics or in-app purchases.

Data stored on your device

The game saves your display name, settings and campaign progress in the app's local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Online play

Single-player modes (campaign, daily challenge, games against bots) work without sending anything anywhere. If you use Host online or Join online, the game connects over an encrypted WebSocket (wss) to a free public message relay (currently HiveMQ, with EMQX as a fallback). Through that relay the game sends:

Please note:

What the game does not do

Children

The game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because online play shows a free-text display name to other players, parents may prefer to keep younger children to the offline modes.

Changes

If the game's data handling changes, for example if I move to my own server, I will update this page and the date above.
